Arthur earned his living stealing cars and running them across the border. But when a carjacking attempt left someone dead, 17-year-old Arthur was sentenced to life in prison. He would be 37 before he was even considered for parole.

“I felt my life was over,” he says.

When one of the other inmates tried to sexually assault him, Arthur furiously fought back – and almost killed the man. That got him another 119 years on his sentence – including 15 years in solitary confinement.In 1989, a prosecutor came to visit him and challenged Arthur with a simple question: “Do you believe in God?” Arthur knew he had to be careful how he answered, because he was now part of a prison gang. Still, something was stirring inside his heart.

“Yes, I do,” he responded.

“Then why don’t you get to know Him?” the prosecutor asked.Arthur began a spiritual journey, completely alone in his cell, void of any religious influence or manipulation. After reading every spiritual text he could get his hands on, he finally turned to the Christian bible. This is where he met God, and his life was forever changed

Fifteen years of solitary confinement later, Arthur is released and that where this story unfolds in a redemptive road of reckoning, forgiveness, freedom, and mentorship.
